As a teaching artist, I’ve developed lesson plans for and facilitated introductory and advanced poetry workshops on craft, Black liberation movements, and self-expression with schools & organizations across the east coast, at both the collegiate and K-12 level.
I also provide professional development training for K-12 educators on poetry as a teaching tool in both STEM and the humanities.
I’ve had the honor of editing two (2) chapbooks of student work – River Poems by the third graders at the Campus School at Smith College, and Poetry by Yesterday’s Children for Tomorrow’s Adults, by the Children’s Poetry Workshop with Write the World.

“I celebrate teaching that enables transgressions - a movement against and beyond boundaries. It is that movement which makes education the practice of freedom.”
